Learn about traditional crafts and try them out for yourself.

On this weekend, we will experience and celebrate traditional crafts at the museum. See for yourself by watching our craftspeople at work – both up close and from a distance. Together, the crew will present their unique creations in the Bernese Midlands section of the museum, on the grounds of the farmhouse from Madiswil BE (321). An overview will be available for download nearer the time of the event.
Another highlight of the weekend is the recommissioning of the oil press in the farmhouse from Uesslingen TG (621). The historic installation has undergone extensive restoration in recent months and will be put back into operation for the first time on 20 June.
Musical entertainment will be provided on Saturday, 20 June, by the Ländler ensemble “Echo vom Hittlidach” and on Sunday, 21 June, by the “Trio Wärocht”.
Important change!
This year, the craft market will take place in the Bernese Midlands, on the grounds of the farmhouse from Madiswil BE (321). Due to weather-related delays in improving the previous location, the space cannot currently be used.
Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to welcoming you to our new location.
