From sheep-shearing to the knitted pullover.

The fascinating properties of virgin wool have been used by humans since ancient times to produce warm, insulating and water-repellent textiles. Sheep shearing, carding, washing, dyeing, spinning, weaving, knitting: experience wool processing from shearing to the final garment this weekend in the East Midlands section of the museum.
