Every year the Swiss Open-Air Museum Ballenberg conveys to its guests the rural culture of Switzerland as it once was: with a hundred faithfully reconstructed buildings, historical farm gardens and farmyard animals. The non-profit foundation is 80% self-financed, and relies on support through donations, sponsorships and bequests for the maintenance of the buildings and topical communication of the culture.
